There are places in the heart you did not know existed until you have loved a child.
Today is Mothers’ Day. I’d like to wish all of our Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunts, and special friends a very happy day.
Thank you to the families and the Parent Association for all you did for us last week- teacher Appreciation Week. The week culminated in a beautiful dinner for faculty and spouses or significant others—what a fantastic gesture. Thanks for supporting me and all of our outstanding faculty!
If you did not have a chance to attend the virtual presentation about Standards-Based Assessment and Grading, I did record it. Please let me know if you would like a link.
We will be hosting a free basketball clinic for 8-12-year-old boys and girls. Participants do not have to attend Palm Valley School- bring a friend!
The clinics will be held Sunday, May 15th, and Sunday, May 29th, from 9-11 am. There is no need to signup in advance, just show up!
The Spirit Store is seeking used uniform donations! Please drop any uniform items your child has outgrown in the Spirit Store collection bins located in the Lower School office. You can also stock up on Spirit Store clothing for next year during regular store hours, Thursdays from 7:30 – 9:00 AM. There are a number of lost and found items! There will be a rack outside the spirit store.
Summer is approaching, and our summer camps are filling up quickly. If you have not yet made plans, please visit our website for specific information: SUMMER
Again this year, we are pleased to host Camp Invention, an award-winning summer camp presented by the National Inventors’ Hall of Fame. Camp Invention is a confidence-boosting STEM summer camp where kids build creative inventions and lasting friendships. Our camps offer new and exciting hands-on activities every year. Over 1,000 camp programs will run nationwide this summer. For more information, click here: https://www.invent.org/
